The Simplified Bloodless Rules

The Stats

A card has the following stats:

A player has the following stats:

Starting A Game

Both players have two decks, one with Creatures and one with Blood Flasks. They must have from 18 to 24 creatures and 18 blood flasks. The player that plays the first turn is arbitrarily chosen.

A game starts when both players have shuffled their creature deck.

During A Turn

During a turn, a player may draw a Creature, a Blood Flask, or both.

A player can only play cards that cost less the same amount of Blood as the amount they have. This amount is discounted from them. Blood Flasks cost 0 blood, and placiing them on the board gives 1 blood to their controller.

A player's turn ends when they don't have any moves to make, or when they choose to finish it.

After A Turn

All the cards do damage from left to right, relative to the player that last played. A card doesn't die until all damage has been dealt, meaning that there is a period where they technically have negative health.

When a card reaches negative health, its health is added to the player's health. That is to say, the player is damaged by all the extra damage the card receives. The card's Defense is added to protect them from this overkill damage.

So, if my 1 health 1 defense card dies from a 2 damage attack, I would normally be hit for 1, but my card's defense protects me against that 1 damage.

After all of this has been taken into account, cards with less than one health are killed, then the other player's turn starts.

Ending A Game

A game ends when the players' health reaches zero or less. The last player to have taken damage is the one who loses the game, while the other player is the winner.

A game also ends when one of the two players resigns.

Sigils

Sigils are modifiers that cards may have. They may modify other cards, and they supercede the rules of Bloodless unless the rule they conflict with says otherwise. They are displayed vertically in the cards, which represents their hierarchy. If the behavior of two sigils conflicts, the topmost one is enacted.

Zones

There are four zones in Bloodless:
